Individual Saving Accounts (ISA)

Government sponsored savings accounts, which do not incur either income or capital gains tax on any profit accrued from the investment, but with a limit on the amount of investment which can be made in each individual tax year. They are often used as a means of repaying the capital part of an interest only commercial mortgage.
